During recent years, growing of environmental concerns has supported expansion of Electric Arc Furnaces usage in steel-making. Since metallurgical coke is largely used in Blast Furnaces, slowing expansion of Blast Furnaces has limited the global demand growth. Moreover, producers of metallurgical coke has been developed close to the steelmakers where the products consumes, leading to reduction in global trade of metallurgical coke. This trend is expected to extend in the foregoing period.
